Chandigarh: A major anti-addiction initiative unfolded at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 15-C, Chandigarh, on 1 October 2026, as students, educators, and community leaders gathered to launch the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – 100 Sundays” campaign. Operating under the theme “Step Up, Stay Addiction-Free,” the programme aimed to spread public awareness regarding the harmful impacts of substance abuse while encouraging an active, healthy, and drug-free lifestyle among the youth.
Dignitaries Honoured as School Community Assembles for Campaign Launch
The event commenced with a formal welcome address to receive invited dignitaries, members of the School Managing Committee, school administration, teachers, staff, and students. The gathering was attended by Shri Naveen Dahiya from the Chandigarh Police, national hockey player Shri Damandeep Singh, and Dr. Nemi Chand Golia, State Liaison Officer of the State NSS Cell, Chandigarh. NSS Programme Officers Manpreet Kaur and Pargat Singh were also present alongside school authorities. To mark respect and appreciation, the Principal and Vice Principal presented planters to the visiting guests during the felicitation ceremony.

Following the reception, the assembly participated in the formal Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge led by the Principal.
